  • Once approved by our underwriting team we will inform our sales representative confirming acceptance of your proposal and requesting you to make the premium payment as per the mode chosen by you at the time of application.
  • Upon receipt of premium, your policy will be issued and couriered to you.

  • WHAT HAPPENS IF I MISS A PREMIUM PAYMENT?
  • We understand that there may be situations where regular premium payments are missed. Therefore, for Flexi-Life Plan, we allow up to 90 days for payments to resume. After this 90 day period is over the policy status will change.
  • CAN I INCREASE OR DECREASE MY PREMIUM WHENEVER I WANT TO?
  • Family requirements change as you traverse different stages of your life cycle. In order to enable the alteration as per the family’s future requirement you can increase or decrease your regular premiums absolutely with no additional cost. Please note that decrease can be affected any time after 24 months from the date of commencement of the policy.

  • CAN I TAKE A PREMIUM HOLIDAY?
  • Yes, premium holidays can be requested for a maximum period of 12 months post completion of 24 months from commencement date of your policy.

  • It is important to note that premium holiday will be subject to account value sustainability of your plan.
  • CAN I ENCASH MY INVESTMENT DURING THE POLICY TERM?
  • To provide flexibility, the plan allows you to make a part surrender withdrawal without the need to fully surrender the plan post completion of 24 months from commencement date of your policy. Minimum withdrawal amount is AED 1840 and maximum 85% of cash value subject to projected charges, if any. You can also opt for regular withdrawals on a monthly, quarterly, half yearly or annual basis.
  • You can also fully surrender the plan and withdraw the cash value anytime subject to surrender charges and other projected charges, if any.

  • IS THERE A GUARANTEED BONUS FOR THIS PLAN?
  • Yes, on regular contribution of premiums, a percentage of premium will be allocated to the account value as guaranteed bonus. Please read policy terms and conditions for further details.
  • WHAT WILL BE THE GEOGRAPHIC COVERAGE OF THIS PLAN?
  • Worldwide coverage, except for Home Shield, Hospital Cash Benefit & Involuntary Loss of Employment Benefit. For these three benefits, coverage is restricted to UAE.
  • CAN I CHANGE MY MIND AND CANCEL THE POLICY?
  • • Yes. If you are not fully satisfied with the Flexi-Life Plan, you have right to cancel the policy by returning it along with duly completed ‘Free Look Cancellation Form’ which was provided along with your policy. The request to cancel must be signed by the all the policy owners and received by us within the free-look period which is 21 days from the policy commencement date.
  • • The signed request must be received directly by Life Underwriting Team, Union Insurance Company P.S.C, P.O.Box 119227, Single Business Tower, Sheikh Zayed Road, Business Bay, Dubai, UAE.
  • • We will then refund the premium paid. It is important to note that we reserve the right to deduct expenses incurred on medical examination of the Life Insured, if any, in connection with the issuance of the Policy.
